How does learning happen at Acton?
At Acton Academy at Grant Park, learners participate in multi-age studios for collaborative learning opportunities. They work independently and collaboratively to reach their individual goals.
What ages do you serve at your school?
We currently welcome ages four through eleven. As our school grows, we will expand our age range to include older learners.
Where are you located?
We are in the heart of Grant Park on a quaint neighborhood corner. We are easily accessible to highways and byways, yet have a sweet spot that allows for outdoor play and community involvement.
How does your school ensure all children are learning at appropriate levels?
At Acton Academy, we incorporate collaborative quests to engage children in different areas of study. For the Core Skills of Reading, Math and Writing, we have adaptable, game-based programs to assess and place children on appropriate learning levels.
What is your school calendar like?
We have two schedule options – part time (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or full time (Monday through Friday). All school days are 8AM until 3PM. Our school year begins in early August and ends in late May.
What is the cost to attend?
Our full time tuition is $12,000 annually, paid in monthly installments. Our part time tuition is $7,200 annually, paid in monthly installments. We do have a $250 enrollment fee, but other than that, all supplies are included with tuition, so no additional costs.
What is the best part of the Acton Academy model?
Our school is unique in that we truly believe that there is unlimited potential in all children. Our desire is to create a focused and fun learning environment that allows all learners to find their callings so that they can change the world. The best part – every person that comes into our school is a learner. Lifelong learning is our goal!
